FAQ
Homeopathy is a system of medicine using unique and dilute preparations of substances based on several primary therapeutic principles. The first is the Similia Principle that implies that substances capable of causing disorder in healthy subjects can be used as medicines to treat similar illnesses in patients. Another is the use of a minimum dose. The doses used in homeopathy range from those that are similar in concentration to some conventional medicines to very high dilutions containing no material trace of the starting substance – the latter are often called ‘ultra-molecular’ dilutions. There are several distinct types of homeopathy including ‘individualized’ homeopathy, ‘clinical’ homeopathy, and isopathy. In individualized homeopathy, as originally defined by Hahnemann a single homeopathic medicine is selected on the basis of the total symptom picture of a patient. In clinical homeopathy, one or more homeopathic medicines may be administered for standard clinical diagnoses. In isopathy a homeopathic preparation of the substance or substances causing an illness may be used to treat a patient with that illness.
Homotoxicology is a therapeutic modality within integrative medicine. In this system using homeopathic medicines, a medical diagnosis combined with an individualized assessment of the patient and the complexity of their symptoms and illness. This bio-regulatory approach takes into account the exogenous and endogenous influences on the patient’s homeostatic mechanisms. Treatment is given, predominantly using homeopathically-prepared medicines, to support the inherent self-regulatory ability of the patient by means of detoxification and drainage, immunomodulation, functional organ support and support of the cellular metabolism. It can be integrated with other conventional and integrative medicine treatments.

In only two years ISOHH has brought together more than 3000 member is over 15 countires.
Our members consist of societies who have been active in the field of homotoxicology and bioregulatory medicine for up to 50 years and individuals who have a strong interest in the field.
Our members include practitioners from various backgrounds, incuding MDs, vets, dentists, pharmacists, naturopathic doctors and other health care practitioners.
The global community of homotoxicologits and therapists with a strong interest in this area are finally able to come together under one main international education umbrella organisation strongly promoting homotoxicology and homeopathy.
